vegangiftideas.com exists for one reason: vegans were getting terrible, well-meaning gifts — and the people buying them had no easy way to find good ones. This site fixes that with one long, honest, constantly-refreshed list.
The editor
Meet Norma — the person writing this
Norma Ector is the founder and editor of vegangiftideas.com. She approaches this list the way she approaches everything: like a build, not a mood board. Her civil engineering background shows in how the site works — every recommendation is verified against real data, checked for specs, and re-tested every single month. If a gift isn't backed by thousands of real Amazon reviews, it doesn't make the list. That's the engineer in her talking.
Norma is also the recipe author behind BakeBreeze, where she develops plant-based baking recipes that actually work — which gives her a baker's-eye view of exactly where honey, whey and gelatin like to hide in so-called "vegan" products. She's spent years testing oat-milk chocolates, dairy-free butter swaps and sugar alternatives for her own kitchen, and that insider knowledge is what filters every single product on this site.
Outside the site you'll find her active on Facebook every day, sharing vegan recipes, kitchen swaps and everyday plant-based wins with her community — the same practical, no-preach, this-works philosophy you'll find in every category below. When she's not tasting chocolates "for research", she's baking something new at home and quietly deciding whether it's gift-worthy.
Where it matters most, we're transparent: every product recommendation on this site is drawn from real Amazon sales data — review counts, ratings and live prices — not from a brand's marketing budget. We do not accept payment for placement. When you buy through our Amazon links we may earn a commission, which pays for the automation, the hosting and the coffee, and never changes the product or the price you see.
Editorial policy
The rules the list plays by
- Strictly vegan, always. Honey, gelatin, wool, beeswax, leather and animal testing are automatic disqualifiers. “Vegetarian” never passes.
- Ranked by evidence. Review count and rating decide placement. The most-tested products surface first; we never take money for a position.
- Refreshed monthly. Prices are re-checked at every build and the full catalog is re-collected at least once a month. Dates are printed on the page.
- Corrected when wrong. If a product turns out to be mislabeled or a link dies, we fix or remove it on the next refresh and say so.
- Old data is labelled. Every page carries the date its prices were last checked.
